Rear driver side heard freeze plug replacement.

It is impossible to propose a diagnosis without knowing the YEAR, MAKE and MODEL of your vehicle.
That being said, replacement of freeze plugs on any vehicle is not a minor undertaking. The mere failure of a freeze plug suggests poor maintenance of the vehicle over time, and is often a precursor of additional underlying cooling system damage.
To replace freeze plugs, often the engine must be removed, or at least decoupled from the car and elevated, to access the freeze plug location. Once you have access to the freeze plug location, you need to pry out the existing freeze plug, removing all rust deposits from the visible cavity and filing the freeze plug seating surface smooth, then use a mallet and large wooden peg to install the new freeze plug.
Once you are done, it is highly advisable to replace the thermostat in the vehicle, check the condition of the radiator, and be certain to maintain a 50/50 ratio of antifreeze to water, using only filtered water.

Where are the freeze plugs located on my 1993 chrysler lebaron v6

Hi Delaina, I'm glad to help! Freeze plugs are located in the engine block in various places. Along both sides of the block, some behind the starter, some behind the motor mounts. There are also freeze plugs in the front of the engine block and some engine also have them in the cylinder heads. There are also freeze plugs at the rear of the engine block behind the transmission. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Delaina!

Rear freeze plug

i have done a many of these on your type of car its a lil more difficult. you will have to locate it and get to it the best you can take a sharp object, preferably a small chizzle and pop a hole in it once you have a hole you can slowly start to pry down ward to try and pop it out once you have it out they offer a universal freeze plug at the autozone's i recommend the universal it'll be alot easier to put in....good luck

Where is the freeze plug located on 2002 nissan xterra, diagram please

Hi Monica, I'm glad to help!

Freeze Plugs or located on both side of the engine, they are round silver looking disk that fit inside the holes. Could be 3 or even 4 all the way from the front to the rear of both sides of the engine. Some vehicles also have the in the front a rear of the engine, in the rear would be behind the transmission. Also some manufactures put the in the heads as well. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Monica.

Look on the block below the cylinder heads for a leaky freeze plug if that's the problem you are having.
