I looked in my data and I don't have that information but thought I would mention the last few times I bought cylinder head gaskets the tightening instructions were included.

These days we refer more to tightening instructions than to torque wrench data because the majority of engines are built by robots and they seem to have difficulty with setting and using a torque wrench and so they are programmed to tighten the bolts a certain number of degrees and so later we are condemned to doing the same.

Many manufacturers recommend always fitting new bolts and once everything is prepared and the bolt threads and washer faces are greased, they are installed and tightened to a low initial torque value of usually around 20 lbft. From that point each bolt is tightened in turn, usually in three or more stages by the amount specified.

For example one engine I am familiar with requires an initial torque of 18 lbft and then tightening 60 + 60 + 60 degrees with a further 30 - 60 degrees after warmup and cooling. The bolts are tightened in a spiral pattern from the centre outwards.

It is extremely important that each stage is completed without distraction as it is often disastrous to lose your place and tighten one bolt too much. It is best to make a plan and have an assistant observe you and to mark each bolt and each stage on the plan as it is completed.

What is the torque settings and sequence for a cylinder head


Most modern engines (made in the last 30 years) only have a small torque wrench setting figure to ensure the starting point for the angular torqueing of each bolt is fairly uniform.

Engines are built by robot and it is easier to tell a robot to tighten a bolt by 1.5 turns or 540 degrees or whatever than to attempt to teach it to use a torque wrench. We in the aftermarket are now tasked with doing things like the robots that built the thing in the first place.

To cope, the bolts are now special steel that is quite stretchy. Best practice is to replace the bolts every time. The least that should be done is to check the length against specifications to ensure none are permanently stretched.
All male and female threads should be cleaned thoroughly and lightly lubricated. The gasket, the head and the bolts and washers should be assembled and the bolts run down to make contact.

The initial torque should be applied to each of the bolts from the centre working outwards. The engine specs will either suggest a diagonal pattern or a spiral pattern for tightening (or releasing).

It is at this stage I like to go home and get some sleep and the next day slacken each bolt in turn and re-apply the initial torque. Next comes the angular bit. The very last thing you must do is forget one or tighten one bolt twice on any stage.
The best way of avoiding this is to make a diagram on some card or paper and mark each stage of each bolt as each is done. A trusted and competent assistant who will not distract you will be invaluable.

Check the specifications for your engine. The initial torque might be 20 lb-ft. Then the bolts might typically need tightening in three of four stages of 60 degrees. From the centre working outwards each bolt is tightened 60 degrees and the process repeated two or three times.
After the engine has been hot and allowed to become thoroughly cold there might be further tightening of perhaps 30 degrees.

Looks like you found the problem. Clean both the power and ground cables on the battery and on the engine and starter. Looks like bad connection from what you posted,. Clean them all.

The oil pressure is low at idle and rises with higher engine revs. Oil levels are ok, new oil approx 2000kms ago. Was a slight noise at one stage in the engine but went away after engine's revs in


It sounds as if the clearance that the bearings normally run in have been surpassed and need to be replaced. Higher engine revs will supply extra oil which will overcome any small discrepencies but constant running at this stage will result in faster degradation of all engine components concerned resulting in a more expensive repair. Shes basically worn out.

MOTOR TEMPERATURE


the a/c will run based on the pressure switch adn has nothing to do with the temp of the vehicle and or the engine.

If the freon is low initial stages you will hear the clutch clicking on and off and when it becomes extreemly low will not engage the a/c clutch at all/.
