When you turn on the AC the other fan should start. & or when it needs more cooling. You may have a faulty fan. But if the car is staying cool I doubt it.

Fan not running on Fahrenheat FFH1612BNW model? How do i deturmine the problem, bad fan or bad switch The overheat sensor is working fine...

Just a thought. Can you take the wires off the switch and and touch the power and negative wires to the fan together ? Make sure your key is turned on and if the fan runs by doing that you know its the switch.
Do not touch anything else with the power wire or it will blow a fuse.
Only do this if you know what to do.

I have a 2012 Kia Sorento and the cooling fan will not shut down. Ishut the engine off and it has been running for 30 minutes. Now it has run down the battery down

There is a thermostat which turns the fan on and off to maintain a reasonably level temperature of the coolant. If the fan has stayed on, I would think that the thermostat has jammed on and that's why it keeps the fan running. You will need a new thermostat. ( Not the water thermostat that is in the engine) A fan thermostat is what you will likely need.. A Dealer or parts outlet shop will know what you need.

Car overheated replaced thermostat/checked 30amp fuse to 78relay with wire fan came on. Is this meaning relay is bad due to fan came on?

That would depend upon where you placed the voltage on the relay. And even then not necessarily so. The only thing you verified with the test was that the fan itself is okay. The cooling fan relay is powered from the ECM (computer). The ECM will power the cooling fan whenever one of two conditions exists:

1. Engine temperature exceeds about 210 degrees F. his temp is determined by the coolant temperature sensor.
2. The A/C is turned on. The fans must run at all times when A/C is on.

So, with the engine running, turn on the A/C. If the cooling fan activates, then you know the ECM, relay, and fan is OK. If the fan then doesn't activate when the engine temp gets high, it is the coolant temperature sensor that is the culprit.

If the fan doesn't run when you turn on the A/C, then, since you know the fan works, try the relay next, because other than wiring, the only other item that could be wrong is the ECM (and you don't want to go there!)

Radiator fans won't come on while van is running

Start the car and turn on the AC to max. Do either of the fans run with the AC compressor engaged? Also, there is a temp sensor for the fan circuit but I don't know exactly where it is located on that vehicle.

My 2000 Dodge Caravan has two fans but I don't see fan belts. Should there be?

No, you will not have fan belts.
The Fans are run by electric Fan Motors and are activated by a engine (coolant) temperature sensor.

Let me know if this helped....Thanks for using!

98 camaro, radiator fans not working only off and on when I turn on my air conditionor. Replaced temp control senser, relays, thermostat. what next PLEASE HELP!

Although rare, it is possible that the fan motor is bad. I don't know if the connectors are the same or if there is only one connector for the fans. My point is try to switch the connectors and turn the a/c on. One fan runs off the coolant temperature sensor and the other off the a/c hen the compressor is running. It basically senses a load on the engine and engages the fan. The one that works has power to it so you know if it does not run the other fan, the problem is the fan. If you have the V6, it may just not be getting hot enough for the fan to kick on. If you have the 5.7L, I would definitely confirm the fan is good because those engines are designed to run hot and they get up to running temperature very quick. Please rate me on this answer.

Radiator fans

This is probably due to a short in the fan regulator temperature switch. I'd recommend finding it (it runs directly to the fans I believe) I know it does on the '01 beetle. However, a short will cause this as the switch bypasses the ignition and allows the fans to run whenever the switch can say to.
