Question about Cars & Trucks
HERE;S ANOTHER QUESTION TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP OUT,THIS IS FOLLOWING ON FROM OTHER QUESTIONS I ASKED ABOUT OUR 1999 DAIHATSU TERIOS , LAST TIME WE HAD A NO START PROB.CHECKED AND THERE WAS NO SPARK AT SPARK PLUG , LOOKING FURTHER ON THE WEB, I DISCOVERD IT MAY BE THE IGN SWITCH ,MOST TIMES IT WILL START , BUT ACCASIONALY NOT STARTER TURNS FINE . I WANTED TO SORT OUT CELINOID NEXT TIME TO TRY , WILL DOING THAT HURT THE[ ON BOARD COMP ]THOUGHT MAYBE THE SORTING OUT OR A SPIKE ...THANKS GUY;S
If the starter is turning there is no need to try to short past the solenoid. It shouldn't harm the computer to do so, but all that does is make the starter turn, which it is apparently doing anyway.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

good old ford lol, try looking at the crank sensor its located at the front of the engine tucked in right hand side of exhaust manifold and gearbox, two pin plug, i have also known these to have no end of faults with the fusebox.
easy to remove, and solder the connections inside they all suffer eventually, if your not to handy with cars i recommend taking to a auto electrician, easy if you know how. Good luck Davelee

I heard that in most cases with the code PO44O it is just a "Loose" Gas Cap. You need to make sure the cap is turned until you hear several clicks. Then reset code and hopefully the light stays off.

SOURCE: H2 Hummer
Today 11-12-08 my 2003 H2 Hummer would not start. Checked battery it ischarged. Cables tight. Tried to start with portable booster pak. No go. Tridto jump start with my wife's Suburban. Still no go.
When I turn the switch I hear a single click and that is it. No engine turning over. While trying to start with key the headlights go out. Out of ideas, Will take to Chevy garage in am. Will post solution.

If it is the timing belt you should here misfire and this is how you check for spark, remove a lead from a plug at reach distance unloosen plug with a spark plug socket put plug into the lead you removed and hold close to something metal while someone turns the key and you should see a spark come out and hit the metal, if not try replacing the rotor button and coil.
