SOURCE: jag diesel o5 engine fault

Hi Without seeing exactly what your looking at ,you need to try and find the vacumn pipes going to the control valve and carefully lok to see they are conected and that there are no splits in the pipes,if the pipes and mechanically sound then you probably have a fault valve, try running your finger around the valve to see if the hissing noise changes.
Hope this helps

2001 dodge intrepid replaced timing chain and engine idles smooth but engine won't rev past 2500 rpms then it sounds like it has a rev limiter change cam sensor but no change it is giving a p0016 code

Most likely cause, if the code only came back after replacing the chain, is a timing problem. Either the marks were not properly aligned, or a tensioner could have failed.

If you have a hih miles truck,it is very possoble you have aclogged cat.Have a muffler shop test pressure in front and behind by drilling small holes, checkin w/gauge,then welding back. This should be free if you replace the cat.

check the wiring on the new lights you have fitted. if there was no problem before then the lights are the fault. there maybe a failure in the lighting wiring on the new lights. shorting out the electrics and cutting the engine out.

Engine dies out above 2500 RPM, picks back up at 2000 RPM

That's a characteristic of Nissan engines when the mass airflow sensor is not working. My 1990 300ZX was set up the same way - when the mass air sensor fails, the car won't rev above 2500RPM in order to safeguard the engine. Get some air intake/throttle body cleaner and clean the mass air sensor. Get some electrical contact cleaner and clean the electrical contacts on the harness plug that plugs into the sensor. If that doesn't cure the problem, you'll need a new sensor.

The mass air sensor is in the 3-4" diameter pipe between the airbox and the throttle body.
