Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Just bought a used audi a6 and check engine lite came on . as well as a beeping noise

Bring your car to an auto parts store. The will plug a box in to see what error codes are causing the check engine light. Look up the code and fix as needed, the auto parts store will help you out, usually for free.

I can't put in the code for my factory radio. I have a 99 A6, 2.8, I have the code but are unable to put it in, help please....

Turn on the radio, hold down the Scan and RDS buttons until '1111' appears. Use the buttons underneath each digit until you have the correct code. Then hold down the Scan and RDS buttons until it unlocks. If you get it wrong twice, the unit will remain locked until it has been left powered on for approximately an hour.

Radio in Audi A6 won't turn off but digital display is just red

i) fuse box for the audi A6 is most probably on the right side close to the driver;s seat by the steering wheel.  The driver door must be open to access the fuse box.  Please check owner's manual. ii) in the 2002 Audi A6 it is fuse #37.  Please check owner's manual. iii) remove the fuse for the radio then replace fuse. iv) start the engine v) the radio most probably will reset it self but you should not have to enter the security access code for the radio. let me know how the works. thanks

HOW TO UNLOCK RADIO 4 AUDI A6 1999

Turn on radio - the word SAFE will appear in the display. Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons.Do not, under no circumtances, continue holding them down or press them once again. This will cause the radio to consider the number 1000 to be the input code.Use station buttons 1,2,3,and 4 to enter the code number on your Radio Card. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons.
