I just bought a a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, my question is does it always have to be on 4x4 at all times or where does it have to be on? I live in the city there for i dont think i have to have it on 4x4...

The grands come in two different 4x4 setups. One is part time and will have 2 hi 4 hi neutral and 4 low on the shift indicator. The other option is all wheel drive and it will have 4 hi neutral 4 low.If you have the first option run it in 2 hi unless you have snow then use 4 hi.If you have the second option the run it in 4 hi .Good luck!

My 1998 Chevy Blazer will not go from 2 wheel Hi to 4 wheel HI but will go from 2 wheel hi to 4 wheel lo, and it will not change to 4 wheel hi on the fly what is wrong?

I am having the same issue, initially the transfer case motor (encoder motor) was bad. I replaced it and now it will only sometimes shift into four wheel hi. I found a great troubleshooting web site and maybe this will help. http://forums.s-series.org/viewtopic.php?t=50947

No Hi Beam on 93 Camry

The headlamp circuit is rather simple. From the 15 amp RH headlamp fuse, there is a red w/yellow trace that goes to the RH high beam. Out of the 15 amp LH headlamp fuse, the wire going to the LH Hi beam is solid red. Both of these wires should have power when the headlamp relay is energized. The wires from the Hi Beam bulbs going back to the switch should both be red w/black trace. The wire going from the headlamp relay to power the 2 15 amp fuses is white. The headlamp switch applies a ground to illuminate either the Lo Beams or the Hi Beams.
