SOURCE: I accidently knocked off my rear view mirror

Are you referring to the interior mirror mounted on the windshield? If so, did everything come off the glass? You can purchase a repair 'kit' at any parts store. Just follow the directions, the epoxy to 'glue' it back in place is fast setting, and will work well and quickly.

No, the mirror is just a friction fit. You will need a new mirror.

SOURCE: The drivers side rear view mirror is loose. How

Put a sheet metal screw between the mirror and mirror body below the mirror. This will allow the mirror to still break free and swing if you hit something kinda hard, but will keep it from moving freely. There is no other way to tighten it. It's just a case of the spring becoming fatigued.

if you look in the area were the mirror arm attaches to mount on the window you will see a holding screw that is probably loose and needs to be snugged up.

How to repair a loose driver side mirror without replacing it?

I would unscrew the 3 screws and take the mirror out, to try and see why theyre not holding it properly. maybe use epoxy to fix the broken bracket and then screw the mirror back on.

Loose screw rolling around in side view mirror assembly 1999 mazda miata

Usually the mirror is 'glued' to the moving parts of the inside. Most of the time one will need to remove the mirror and re-glue it back.
