601 is internal memory code.
899 is power take off code, Dealing with loss of power.
0164 is loss of communications. Again this could be loss of power.
Clear the codes. run it down the road for a while , check codes again.
If they come back, you either have a bad wire some where or the control module is bad..
Most of the codes for those readers are not in the book/manual. Only the common ones are. You can search online at the readers website or just enter the code number and usually you cna find the issue easily. I don't even know where my book is anymore. I just plug it in and then hop online. its so much faster. You can buy a new one:
engine number is different coming 7 dig.engine code 3 or 4 characters and fuse for diagnouse when use VAS it meen different parts use together and coordinated by ECU . tow engine same but diffrent code meens some part use are different . engine number is definition for this engine with chassis number you can find it one label on timing belt cover , and in between cylinder bolck and cylinder head there is square stamped number at exhaust side
the plug for it should be under the dash cuz i think you need a diagnostic reader thing that plugs into it and it reads the code and shows it on the screen
Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.
