Your power runs from the ignition to the solenoid. if there's no power at the ignition, you need to check for power to the ignition, and if there's power you need an ignition switch. If you don't then you might need PCM

Starter stuck in start mode

The flywheel could be bad. The flywheel is so big that it will only grind the teeth every so often when it is in that spot. If you are sure that the starter is bad, replace it. If you do need to replace your starter this site looks like it has cheap prices, free shipping and great reviews http://www.buyautoparts.com/starter.htm

My clutch just stopped working today and I was wondering if someone could help. The fluid is good, my brother-in-law thinks it might be the it is the Master Cylinod

if it just quit out of nowhere and wasnt slipping beforhand then yes it is the "Slave cylinder" not the master cylinder.

New starter but car wont start

funny...you have just told me what is wrong with it!!!
check power in, power out at the ignition switch...likely it has failed. switch is on the top of the steering column under the dash and is sometimes easier to reach if you disconnect the column from the dash and permit the sterering wheel to rest on the seat.

Battery cable and starter cylinoid gets hot

You have a bad starter solenoid. Check with your local auto parts store as well. Some of them test these for free. Good luck to you and thanks for using Fixya!
