Where is the voltage regulator located in a 2007 ford five hundred. i believe there is one in the alternator . is there also a voltage regulator for the computer located somewhere else?.
You are correct as far as a voltage regulator being located inside the alternator. No there isn't a seperate one for the computer and 2 of the wires going to the alternator go directly to the connector of the PCM. Not sure of you problem but am guessing you are having a charging problem. have you checked the fuse for the charging system ? If not it is in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle. In the fuse layout I have provided I have marked the fuse you will want to check. If you have a good fuse, have had the alternator bench tested and it tested out good, there is also 2 fuseable links in the wiring for the alternator. One of thos could be blown. You could have a wiring problem and the computer itself could be faulty but that's not very common.

First off,is the ac compressor turning? If so are the large line, near where you put freon in,cold? If the low side lines(large lines)are cold and sweating, and the evaporator box is dripping water on the ground, then the ac is most likely fine. There is a temp door in the ac blower box, that moves for hot,or cold when you select these comfort levels. This door is most likely controlled by a actuator motor. This motor is most likely bad.If it is control by vacuum, look for a broken vacuum hose,or one that has come loose under hood.

You need to have the transmission serviced. The wrench indicates that the fluid in your transmission is out of spec or you have an out of spec pressure condition.
