Clicking noise turning right

My 2005 Chevy Impala makes a clicking noise when turning right. I've taken it to the GM dealer, a transmission specialist, and another general mechanic, but nobody knows what it is. It's not the CV joint as it is not a loud knocking sound. It almost sounds like a hose clamp rattling of something. Its getting worse and driving us crazy. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

It could also be a loose caliper or bad wheel bearing.
Hope this helps.

Could be a tire hitting the inner fender skirting. Check both front tires to see if they are clean/scraped right at the tread and side. This is a good indication that the tire is rubbing something. Also, since your turning right, you put more weight of the vehicle on the left side. You might want to check the front and rear wheel bearings on the left. I've heard them click before, but only under pressure.

SOURCE: I have a 97 chevy s10 and their is a knocking noise when i turn left or right

what is happening is your spider gears and side axle gears are probably going out... it might also be the ring and pinion... just happened to my 2000 S10 and turns out spider gears were toasted... have a mechanic check out your differential. you pop the clutch alot?

If it is making a noise in the belt area, have them check the water pump. These get loose water pump bearings that cause belt noise.

2005 chevrolet Impala transmission shifts hard

The repair a dealer is waiting for is your check for $5,000

They have no intention to diagnose until it fails

Try a trans repair shop & be carefull your only getting
things diagnosed

Do not let them pull the unit (trans) that is how they hook you

My 2005 nissan altima won't crank or turnover. It justs makes this clicking noise. Can you help me?

The click is most likely the starter solenoid you hear

Should be a familiar sound you've heard may times
on other cars

I would guess you know how old the battery is?

If it is original,it is 8 years old & dead,if so, replace it

If it is only 3 years old ,check the voltage with a meter

Next the solenoid could be working as you hear it,but
it's contacts are burnt,it can be replaced

You remove the starter & change the solenoid

Don't want to do that, buy the entire starter at auto parts,
not a dealer, cost too much to even be there for any reason.

What is the scheduled maintenence requirement for a timing belt on a 2005 chevy cavalier?

assuming you have a 2.2 lt ecotec engine, according to what i read from GM reports, they say these motors are suppose to be pretty much maintenance free! ha! so they say. i've had nothing else but problems with them & so has all my family & friends. true, but unless you've had major problems with it you should never have to even touch the timing chain @ all. i drove my old FORD into the gound @ 635,000 klts, took great care of it & never changed the timing chain on it. ya, you guessed it, i'm a ford man & always will be. my wife is selling her cavalier. all the best.

Have the transmission fluid changed/new filter and use a premium synthetic fluid instead of cheap ol generic fluid. Think mobil1 full synthetic for the tranny. If it's never been changed this will make a dramatic difference.
