It could be your neutral safety switch. It could be the starter relay which is located in the fuse panel box. It could be the smaller wire going to the starter could be loose or corroded.

GM cars are notorious for faulty anti theft security systems. When these fail, the car thinks its being stolen and shuts down the starter. Most noticeable symptoms are the car not starting, everything else still working, and a light illuminated on the dash that says "security".
