pop out the center trim piece with a flat head screwdriver. Center dash piece may be brushed aluminum or wood grain depending on trim level. It should pop out easily working all the way around it. Then radio is held in with 7mm screws.

SOURCE: how does one take off 2008 impala stock radio

You will need an adaptor, there are two for the Impala one does not have door chime one does, cost about $80.oo to $100.oo. You have to pull the trim ring to access the screws. It is best to take it to an audio shop let them do the RnR.

SOURCE: which color wires go together

If its an aftermarket stereo, the Yellow wire will be 12v all the time. Red is when ignition is turned on, and black is ground. The rest are speaker wires. Mike. Rate 100% please.

I have a 95 gmc sierra 2500 and im trying to put in my aftermarket rafio so i cut the stock harness out the square puece that goes in back of stock radio and now i cant figure out what wire is what i got...

I would suggest you spice the wires back to stock harness by male and female connections and tape over them with black tape then get a stereo install kit that includes a wiring harness ( cost about $20 maybe or less) for the year of truck you have... it will plug right to your stock harness ...never just cut stock stereo wires from stock plug it will be more of a headache than you think trust me I've installed all my own stereo system been there done that... good luck

the fsm shows scan DTC codes for remote start 2010
eg: P1615, error. and others.
ever use a scan tool if car is stock system.?
its an option day one, so... learn what you have and say so.
Scan the OBD2 scan port. see what error there is.
did you know factory system all fail to remote start if the
engine controls are showing errors or doors>?
that is correct, factory remotes use lots of blocks (saves lawsuits big time)

Sorry i forgot to say i have a 1996 saturn so i need the stereo wiring color code of stock stereo to put in my new stereo

Buy a wiring kit from wal-mart or stereo shop. It will allow you to plug into stock wiring without cutting anything, and have instructions for hooking up your new system. Cheap and easy, plus you can go back to stock should you ever sell the car.

I bought an 2 ch. amp and a sub for this car. I'm nearly finished the hook up but only one is stumping me. Where is the remote turn-on wire or what color is it?

remote is generally blue out of the deck however if it is stock radio wire the amp remote to the accessory circuit on the back of sterio this will turn on the amp when your radio comes on instead of the radio turning on the amp there should be a memory wire that is hot all the time and a accessory wire that turns on the radio when the key is on

I dont have the remote to the stock alarm on my 2003 hyundai sonata and my alarm wont turn off and my car wont start

I know this sounds obvious, but did you run your battery dead? If you don't know, get the battery for as tuning off the alarm... Just simply disconnect your negative battery cable. This will reset the alarm. This doesn't solve the problem but makes it less annoying while figuring it out. What about the battery in your remote, is it dead? Look for any wires from the alarm that may be frayed, cut, or corroded. Hope this helps.

I have a 92 marquis, and ive just changed out the factory stereo with a aftermarket. How can i hookup the amp that came with the bose system??

If you bought a wiring adapter kit for the aftermarket stereo, the unit should hook up directly to the stock bose system. Note: If there is sound coming from the speakers after installation, the amp IS hooked up...the speaker wiring is routed to the factory amplifier, not the stereo itself, the stereo wiring is just signal leads to the amplifier. In some instances, you may have to connect the amp remote wire to the remote wire coming from the aftermarket stereo(blue wire). I hope this helps. Any other questions, just reply.

Is there an foctory amp that has to be powered up when useing aftermarket cd player

some stock mopar setups do have an amp, our caravan does. your going to have to buy a chilton/haynes manual and one of those wires coming from the stock harness is the amp remote switch wire, your going to have to figure out which wire it is and possibly use the power antenna of your head unit or use the switched power lead and run an extra wire to that wire to get the amp going. the amp power is fused with the cig lighter and isnt marked, check your fuses and find the wire.
