SOURCE: Lowering convertible top

You have to pull down the visors and release the top handles to free the top. Hit the button enough to raise the top slightly and put the handles back in the closed position. Then you can put the top all the way down. There is a built in safety feature, where the window go down slightly as the top starts to open.

SOURCE: 2000 chrysler sebring convertable top will go down but will not

Typically, when when this happens, the system is low on fluid and/or must be bled. Here are the procedures:
Lower the top to the full down position.

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion, seat back and inner quarter trim panels. Pull up sharply on the seat cushion at the front about midway between the middle of the seat and the outside edges. The seat back is held in by nuts. The quarter trim panels are held in by screws I think.
  2. Remove the cylinder mounting brackets and remove the cylinders from the trunnion pivot mounts.
  3. Rotate the cylinders 180 degrees (the hose fittings will now face to front of the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the motor/pump retaining clips from the body.
  5. Rotate and raise the motor/pump assembly so the reservoir is in the up position. The rubber filler plug will be at the top.
  6. Raise motor/pump fitting to at least 2 inches above the horizontal rear seat back reinforcement.
  7. Tilt the motor/pump assembly to approximately the 10 o'clock position, with the rubber filler plug still at the top CAUTION: THE MOTOR/PUMP ASSEMBLY MUST REMAIN IN THE CURRENT POSITION UNTIL THE RUBBER FILLER PLUG IS REINSTALLED IN THE Step 12.
  8. Remove the rubber fill plug from reservoir.
  9. Fill the hydraulic system by adding Dexron 2 Automatic Transmission Fluid to the bottom of the fill hole CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE TOP SWITCH IN THE UP (CLOSING THE TOP) DIRECTION.
  10. With two people, activate the top switch in the down (opening the top) position to fully retract the cylinder rods and hold for approximately 5 seconds, until the motor/pump stalls. A percolating or gurgle sound/feeling is an indication that the procedure is working.
  11. Top off the motor/pump with Dexron 2 and insert the filler plug.
  12. Install the motor/pump assembly into the vehicle mounting bracket.
  13. Rotate the cylinders back to the original position (hose fitting rearward)
  14. Install the motor/pump lead and hydraulic line clips (the hydraulic line clips are to assist in the production process) to ensure that the seat back/seat cushion do not pinch the lines. If the sticky side is no longer holding to the floor pan, the clips can be left off.
  15. Ensure that the bushing is still on the trunnion pivot mount and bracket. Tap the top switch in (raising the top) to get the cylinder trunnion onto the trunnion pivot mounts, if needed.
  16. Install cylinder mounting brackets.
  17. Raise and lower the top to ensure proper operation.
  18. Install the inner quarter panels, and the rear seat back and cushion.
  19. And Just a fair warning here - you WILL spill fluid inside your car. If you manage not to, I want to know how. I cover everything with garbage bags because there have been a few instances where I accidentally hit the button the wrong way and that stuff went EVERYWHERE. Be careful and good luck.

you need to loosen the clamp on the throttle body and unplug the map sensor then there are two clips on the other end pull that out and you should be able to pull the filter out you don't need to take the box off.

SOURCE: how to change air filter for 2006 2.7 200 hp

Facing the vehicle from the front, find the nut on the top right of the air filter housing and remove it. Next, locate and loosen the hose clamp screw on the short piece of hose going from the rear of the filter housing to the intake on the engine. Gently slide the hose off of the intake. Now squeeze the two tabs on either side of the hose section toward each other and separate it from the filter housing. Do not disconnect the sensors attached to the hose as you only need to move the hose a little bit toward the windshield/firewall for extra room. On the left side of the filter housing, lift off the wire connection clipped there. Again, no need to disconnect, just leave it hanging. Now lift the housing from the right side off of the bolt where you removed the nut. The only other thing holding it in place are two pins underneath on the right side so lift about an inch to clear them. Finally, push housing toward the windshield/firewall and then rotate the end closest to the bumper up and out bringing the filter out with it. Remove filter, clean out the housing, insert new filter, and reinstall in reverse order. Make sure to properly seat the hose back onto the intake or it could allow dirt to enter the engine.

2006 chevy colorado fuel system diagram I need help diagnosing the problem of the gas smell coming from my truck. No leaks...but a very strong gasoline smell...please help me out!

The Chilton/Haynes repair manual we got for our 2004 Trailblazer has a fuel diagram. So I believe the same type manual for your Colorado should be no different as to information. Did find in research that there are plastic parts on the fuel lines that run under the air intake. Over time they become brittle due to engine heat since they are on top of engine but under the plastic air tube and are prone to leak over time. Not hard to fix, just a pain to remove the interfering parts.

02 sebring t/s flasher locate

The flasher itself is right beneath and beside the hazard switch. To get to it, look underneath the steering column, just behind the steering wheel. On the bottom of the plastic cover that the turn signal lever, wiper lever, and hazard switch protrude from you will see two deeping drilled holes, at the bottom of each you will see a Phillips head screw. Remove these two screws, and pull the two plastic pieces apart. It may take some force as the two pieces are somewhat snapped together on the sides. Once you have removed these two pieces, you will be able to clearly see the flasher on the top isde of the column. It will be on the passenger's side of center, it's prongs plugging into the switch from the front.

2004 2.7 L leaking water around the top of the engine coolant air bleeder

Replace the coolant air bleeder, front and center top of the engine. Remove the 10mm bolts holding the air intake down, prop it a a few inches, take the four bolts out and the two bolts holding the top radiator hose to it, polish ip the top of the motor where the pice sits bolt it back together. It took me about ten minutes to put in the new one. The part from advanced auto was 39 bucks, comes with a new o ring for the top hose, it is a piece of cake.

WELCOME, please help, I am the owner of Ford Fcusa 1.6 tdci 90 PS of 2006, during the inspection appeared to me to be a computer error P0698, can I ask for the answer to what this error means and what is...

Hello, This code is for a part called the TPS or throttle position sensor. Its price ranges from $27 for an aftermarket part to $57 for a factory part. You should go to an Autoparts store and ask for this part to get a look at it.

It should go on the engine close to where the plastic air intake for the engine changes to metal on a part they call an Airhorn. Usually they are held on with 2 screws that need a bit of force to remove. They usually have 1 connector plug. You should look at that connector plug for corrosion as a new part may not be needed. Just clean the connector.

It looks to be a 15 minute job, but some garages can have a 1 hour minimum charge so go to places you trust.. There is minimal adjustment if any, for this part. I think a charge of $20 to $40 to do the work would be about right.

I hope you feel my idea was very helpful in answering your question.

How to change the air filter in a sebring

Remove the nut on the top left of the housing completely. (hint : Before continuing, locate and loosen the hose clamp screw going from the rear of the filter housing to the intake on the engine, sliding the hose off the intake) Lift (filter) housing away from stem. On the air hose leading into the housing, pull back the tabs and pull housing UP and out toward you. A lot of wiggling required (hint: if you followed the hint above, a lot less wiggling is required - it pulls up and out pretty easily, and don't forget to un-clip the wires on the left of the housing). The filter is a cone shaped blue and white thing sticking into the housing. Good luck!
