Question about Cars & Trucks
After swapping the motor in my nissan 300zx i failed emissions. I figured it was because the car and motor had been sitting awhile. my first test High speed HC 333 CO 3.75 Low speed HC 406 CO 0.07. I ran about 5-6 tanks of gas through it using lucas fuel system cleaner every other tank and changed the fuel filter twice. I replaced the distributor, rotar, cap, wires, and plugs during the motor swap. After flushing the fuel system i had it retested and failed again High speed HC 353 CO 4.16 Low speed HC 738 CO 3.86. I think the timing might be off a little. What would cause my emissions to get worse?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
