Question about Cars & Trucks
I did the same thing with one of my keys for my 2011 Ford Fusion. It ran through the washer on hot. I discovered it when I was loading the clothes in the dryer. I removed the battery and dried it, then used a hair dryer on low setting to dry the fob with the battery removed to get as much moisture out as possible. I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it still was good. I then left the fob cover off for several hours then put the battery back in and closed fob cover.
Initially the remote functions would not work, though I could unlock the car and start it using the key even though the remote functions didn't work. After a few more hours of drying out, the remote functions began to work again.

cycle your ignition 8 times on and off really fast then on the eight time you cycle the door locks should lock and unlock, then hit the lock and unlock button on your fob that should set it just for one car. if you try to reset the fusion key your dealer will charge you alot of money
