remove battery and have it tested a your local auto parts store. Most auto parts stores like autozone or advance auto will test it for free. batterys will loose charge if they are old and have been sitting around for a period of time. If you have battery charger, set it up and put a low charge on it for 20 mins to a half hour. then try to start it again. If the battery is in good shape, check the cables to starter and ground. If that doesn't help you might have to remove the starter and have it tested.

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer. It starts harder

The most likely cause is a "gunked-up" throttle body assembly. You can take care of this yourself with a spray can of throttle body cleaner (follow instructions on the can) if you're not afraid to poke around under the hood, or you can have it cleaned at just about any auto service shop.

Of course, there could be a hundred or more other possible causes, but this is the most common - and probably the easiest/cheapest to fix.

Ford explorer v6 going doiwn road will die some times it crank right back some times it won't codes show 18

Code 18 is: Battery voltage low. Check for bad wiring, faulty battery, or defective alternator. There are other things that could be causing this situation but start here and then go forward. let me know.

1994 ford explorer dies while driving

Easy Fix! I know exactly what ur talking about, had the same problem for ******* ever, and its not the fuel pump, trust me!!! and it will cost you absolutely nothing to fix! I don't know what the hell they're called exactly, but on the right side of your engine there's a black box, next to where you put the coolant in, with fuses in it. They look like one inch cubes and will say Ford right on top. One of them is for the fuel pump. Try switching it with one of the others, or just switching all of them around and ur car will fire up, but the one that's not working will cause something else not to work properly, but at least u'll now what the problem is. Than just do what I did: take one with you and go to a junk yard and pull out a bunch, they're the same on many ford vehicles, even the newer ones, like 2000, not just the explorer. Make sure its the same one, pull out a bunch, put em in ur pocket and leave without paying, nobody will notice anyways, but they're tricky to find at a parts store, surprisingly. When ur car is running beatiful again, come back to this post and tell me if I was right! God knows how many ours I spent in that car stranded, waiting for it to fire up. Sometimes it'd be 5 minutes, sometimes an hour, sometimes hours, even days. Never knew when it would or wouldn't. Thought is was the starter too! If it works, tell me!!!

My honda accord aerodeck es 1994 model starts but soon cuts off and won't start for a while. Someone said it could be a fuel relay problem. If so, can i possibly by-pass the relay? If o how?

too many possible causes - MAF, MAP, IAT, CTS, Vacuum Leaks, worn engine components (rings, valves, etc.) fuel pump/pressure, injectors, ignition system, timing, etc. Take it in for diagnosis.. may save you money
