Look in your owners manual to see if there is a code in there for unlocking the radio and instructions for unlocking procedures. If the code is not in there, I would suggest going to a Ford dealer and tell him what happened and they can provide you the unlock code and/or help you get the radio unlocked. And when it has happened to me in the past, there was no charge.

Good luck

Sounds like the computer is confused or fried. You might try removing the battery cable for about a minute and then putting it back on. You will probably have to reset the radio codes after doing that. If that doesn't work the unit may have to be replaced.

Door lock turns radio back on?

Ive had simularr issues with my 97 I first replaced the ignition switch on the steering column and cleaned the fuses in the drivers side of the dash by the door, then eventually it came back and I replaced the body control module. Turns out the fuses and ignition switch power up the Body control module which controlls the inside cab options. However the bcm had to be programmed by the dealer i bought it from that cost an extra $100 it was $200 to begin with. Ive been told by a dealer mechanic I could have programmed it myself
by installing it and turning the key forward for 2 min then off for 2 min. then start the car, this burns the key chip code into your new body control module form your existing Engine Control Module. Make sure this is the same procedure for your 99 before attempting. The BCM is behind the pass side under dash panel and the glove box. Also check the battery connections to make sure they are clean and tight.

How do you unlock a 2003 Hummer RDS radio reading LOC

About the theftlock RDS radio system.
* The theft deterrent system now utilizes class 2 serial data to determine if the radio is in the authorized vehicle.
* Each time the radio receives accessory power from the ignition, it compares the VIN information it has stored to the VIN information received from a module on the class 2 serial data circuit responsible for transmitting that information.
* If a match does not occur, the radio display will indicate "locked".
* Once this occurs the radio will not respond to operations and become inoperative.

The following conditions will enable radio lock:
* A radio is installed from another vehicle.
* A module which communicates on the class 2 serial data circuit which supplies VIN information to the radio is replaced and not properly setup with the correct VIN information for that vehicle.

To unlock radio you will need access to a GM scan tool. Hope helps (remember to rate this).

My stereo in my blazer is locked need a code to unlock it

There is no code in this year Blazer radio. The radio has the VIN encoded in it and when you turn on ignition the BCM (Body Computer Module) compares it's VIN to that of the radio and if they don't match, the radio is locked out.

Radio is unlocked through the GM Tech 2 scan tool. Dealers will do this for an outrageous fee ($40 - $100+) for just a few minutes time.

Got the car back from bodyshop same thing no clock or radio and keyless entry problems

Sounds like they disconnected your battery when they were working on your car. Your radio probably requires an unlock code to get it to work again which you'll have to get from a dealership with proof that the car is yours.

They key fob will also have to be reset.

  1. Close all the vehicle doors.
  2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
  3. Press and hold the door unlock switch.
  4. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
  5. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
  6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
  7. Turn the ignition switch to the On position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter programming mode.
  8. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

Central locking system

I have recently had this problem I believe this to has been caused by a fault in the drivers door lock assembly It seems this contains the remote receiver. In my case I think there had been some radio interference being the main cause. The remote system seems to be working OK, The door lock will still not operate with the key.
Remove and replace the fuse 25 resetting the ignition module. Starting the engine, switch off remove the key from the ignition, stay in the car lock the doors using the door button, press and hold the remote unlock button for approx 5 seconds, listen to see if you can hear the clicking of the door receiver when you press the remote buttons. Press and hold lock/unlock button. You may be lucky.
