If the leak is on a specific side it is unlikely the main seal otherwise it would be in the center. It is probably coming from the cooling line or high pressure line or one of the fittings. Try a stop seal and see if that help.

SOURCE: LEAKING FRONT AXIL SEAL

take the wheel off , unbolt caliper and sling it out of the way with a bungi cord, take off the rotor, then you have too take the pumpkin cover off the axel diff in the front (drain fluid first) easy way to do that take out bottom and side bolts out then leave top 1 or 2 in but finger loose. pry cover off with a sturdy scrapper from side allowing fluid to leak out from bottom of cover. when fluid is done comeing out then take off cover. to take the axel out to replace the seal you have to push the axel inwards to remove the C- CLIP on the end of the axel shaft that slides into the inside of the pinion gear (use a extending magnet) keeps gear oil on your hands and from dropping it into the pumpkin housing. then all you have to do is slide the axel shaft out. then replace the seal .

SOURCE: 93 OLDS HALF SHAFT REMOVAL LEFT SIDE

the procedure to remove them is here As for the seal you should be able to pry the old one out once you have removed the half shaft with a screwdriver or ask at your local parts store if they can rent/sell you a seal removal tool
hope this helps!

I recently replaced my passenger side CV axle as well as the CV axle seal due to a leak. After everything was installed I found I still have a leak and it has actually become slightly worse. The car is on...

It sounds like the inner seal needs to be replaced which means a tear down of the transmission it might be just as easy to replace the tranny but a good repair shop should be able to do this far cheaper.

Passenger side axle leaking at transmission . It is new and was just installed. Does it need to be slid in farther?

It should slide in until it clicks into place. The end that goes into the tranny is splined with a grove that has to be in far enough to lock. Problem could be a transmission seal! Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

My 1994 gmc suburban started leaking transmission fluid on the passengers side now it wont go over 30 mph

You need to find the leak (probably in one of the cooler lines or the pan gasket) fix it, and make sure you have the correct fluid level. If you do all that and it still won't go you probably wore out the internal components from driving it with low fluid. Good luck.
