A good thing to check to see if it's just a fuse is try your external mirrors to see if they move, they work off the same fuse as the lighter.
If it is a fuse, and if you are in Australia then the fuse box is next to the drivers right knee area, In America, then next to their left knee. There is also a fusible link built into some cigarette lighters, mine has one. When it blew, the auto electrician was able to resolder the link and get me going again until I could buy a new lighter.
That fuse is located in the fuse block under the
dash on drivers side of vehicle. You almost have to lay your head on
the floor facing up to see it. It will have a black cover over the
fuses and a fuse map on that cover.
