Blew a 25 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter, replaced it with a new one but still not getting any power from the cig lighter, is there another fuse hidden somewhere??

No power from the cig lighter if you have a voltmeter youll have to test it for power at its harness behing the cig lighter, just to let you know that cig lighter also wears out and a replacement may be it the fix for you, also there is only one fuse for it

The front lighter is not functioning (no electricity in). The fuse for the lighter is OK, so the problem must be somewhere else. Please, let me know what could be wrong. Thank you! J. Picman...

some cars need key on to turn on cig lighter but if thats not the case, ive also seen circut breakers for cig lighters on back of cig lighter socket so check that also.

Nissan Maxima'96 - remove dash console

for center console removal start furthest point from dash move seats forward and look for screws of either side of console. may also be in storage area of console. remove back section first which will reveal screws for front which should reveal screws for area that holds cig lighter and such

Cigarette lighter plug not working

hopefully nothing serious. if you can, make sure your wires did not burned or got too hot.Visually inspect them. Then, if you have a voltmeter check to see if you getiing power to it. no voltmeter? Go to your nearest auto parts store and ask for a test light. Back to the lighter, if you have power on the wires or wires leading to the back of the lighter, more than like it you lighter burned out.  No power on the wires? make sure wire did not get fryed or burned, all wires look good? check fuses again.  worst case scenario, can't find problem ? you can run another wire from your fuse box to the lighter.
