Question about 2006 Honda Jazz 1.4i

1 Answer

Jazz Acceleration When accerating hard (to keep up with traffic) my honda jazz seems to loose power, and does ot rev above 2k. The only way to get any power back is turn the engine off and back on. The engine warning light comes on for a couple of hours of driving, but goes off before I can get to my honda garage who cannot identify any problem. Any suggestions, otherwise I am going to get rid of the car, as it is feels unsafe in traffic.

Stop using any vehicle that has check lights on the dash
& is not working correctly & get it to a repair shop or dealer
to be properly diagnosed,so you don't do any damage to it
Spending tens of thousands of dollars for another vehicle that
will develop the same problems makes no sense
The Technology & Problems are here to stay
Dash light that go off have nothing to do with going to a shop
& them retrieving stored data

SOURCE: hello ive got a honda

Had a similar problem on our 1.2 2002 Jazz. Occasional random jerkiness with no apparent pattern and every time we took it in to the garage it behaved beautifully. Eventually they diagonosed a faulty EGR valve, replaced it (it was under warranty) and we've had no problems since. Apparently this not uncommon.

SOURCE: 1993 Honda Accord-shuts off while driving/won't start up

I had the same problem. My car would shut off without any warning, I changed my Main Relay located under the dash, right below the change slot on the left hand side. I have not had a problem since. The price at Napa Auto parts runs about $68.00. This should fix your problem.

SOURCE: Transmission shudder

I had a similar problem on my 93 Accord after I accidentally threw the car in reverse at 50 mph, obviously wrecking the transmission. When I got it rebuilt I was told the transmission pump was to blame (clogged with "shrapnel"). I, and your car manual, recommend taking the car in to get the tranny looked at. Especially considering you just had the fluid changed which is what would normally cause the problems you are describing.

Sounds like possiblity of the oil pump being bad, and is setting off other sensors on your car.

Honda jazz 09 rear suspension i have a noise like brick in a tin can when driving along a bumpy road?

I wish I could point to just one issue and say "this is it" but when you are dealing with the rear suspension or rear end are too many potential candidates to look at. For example, have you had the rear shocks checked? It might be the bushing at the top or it might be that the nuts and bolts at the top and bottom need adjustment. Or it could be that the exhaust system is loose and banging against the body. It also might be a loose rear suspension member that is banging against its carrier. Or, it could be something as simple as flat-spotting on your Jazz's rear tires. So, what do I think it is? I am tempted to say it is likely related to a loose bushing on one of your Jazz's shocks. The bushing is a hard-rubber piece at the top of the shock. If it is loose, it could be banging against the cover and creating the sound you hear. If you feel competent to check this problem, you will need a good pneumatic jack to lift the rear end and keep it up safely. Never use the scissors jack that came with your Jazz because it is not designed to keep your vehicle in the air so you can work on it. Use it only when you are changing tires. This is a problem that should be addressed when you have time as it should not affect your car's handling. It is more of an annoyance than anything else. To see if there might be other issues affecting you Jazz, look at http://www.safecar.info.

2006 Honda Jazz left side mirror not working won't move inwards what can be the problem?

Likely to be the actuator/motor inside that has failed. Order one off eBay that offers returns an find out how to fit it. Should be job done!
If not its likely to be a more serious electrical issue good luck with that..
