We have a 97 chevy lumina that had water in the gas and we need to know where the fuel pump reset button is
There is no reset button for an overload situation on the fuel pump. The only reset is for when the vehicle gets into an accident, which activates on impact. So, I don't think this is what you are looking for. I would suggest looking at the fuse panel, which would be located in the engine compartment and it should be labeled. If this is not your problem, then you probably have a problem with the fuel pump itself or the fuel filter is plugged with water. The fuel filters do not like water, so by purging the gas through the bleeder valve you will be putting all that water into the fuel filter. I would suggest removing the fuel filter and purge the fuel/water at that location. You should replace the filter anyway, so I would remove it and see if the pump still works.
I would also suggest putting a couple of bottles of "Heat" or similar products in the tank, because you will not be able to get everything out.
Good luck....
