Sounds like the plastic clip that connects the lock has broken however regardless of fault the inner door panel has to be removed to diagnose and repair. It could also be inner door lock assembly.

SOURCE: Power Door Lock Problem
The last post by maddog1321 was exactly what I had with my right rear door. The electric locks would not lock and unlock, and you almost couldn't do it manually without my feeling I was about to break something. I took the door panel off, oiled everything and got no relief. Finally, I saw the above post and drilled out the aft-most pop-rivet. THE WINDOW WORKED PERFECTLY! I didn't drill out the forward (closest to the handle) pop-rivet because I wanted to do one at a time so the solenoid would not fall out of place. I then put a new pop-rivet in place of the one I drilled out. I then reinstalled everything and the locks work like new.

There were some issues with ignition switches in those vehicles. It is easy to change and does not cost but about $30. Remove the column covers, unplug the switch, and depress the 2 white tabs holding it in place. Good Luck

I would follow their recommendation as I had the same problem with my car. They unhooked the power to that door and it was fine. The problem was a short in the wiring in the door that was causing the problem. So maybe get them to check the wiring in the door as well.

Usually the autodown feature needs to be reprogrammed. there are usually 2 ways of doing this. First, roll the window down and hold the switch down for a about 5 seconds and then roll the window up and hold for about 5 seconds. Repeat if it does work just to make sure. The other way is to hold the switch up for 5 seconds and try holding down the switch for 5 seconds.
