SOURCE: wire colors for my IAT sensor
red with blue stripe and black... cut the red with blue strip and connect one end of the resistor to the harness side. Then splice the other end of the resistor to the black wire... do not cut it just splice into it.

SOURCE: IAT SENSOR
what do you mean by control? there is one wire normally pink or white with pink strip that is power 5 volts + black is ground and a reference voltage 5 volts ground is black or white so the other two colors would be the control wires going to the computer. However would need the first 8 numbers of the Vin to know for sure. you can also go to www.alldatadiy.com and purchase a subscription that will give you the exact information you need, they change color codes for wires from time to time and if you hook it up wrong you can destroy the computer so I suggest you purchase the subscription to be sure.

you need to check the fuel pressure, and did you mean you replaced the distributor or just the rotor because inside the distributor is a pickup plate that some times causes this also 02 sensor can cause this.is your check engine light on if so go to chain auto parts store they usually read your codes for free.

SOURCE: Hello, 2004 Ford Escape XLT
Hi, below is a picture of your MAF sensor. There are 6 pins visible in the connector. Does your sensor have only 5 pins? Maybe one has broke off. The second picture is the wiring diagram for the MAF/IAT assembly. The IAT is the thermister on the right side of the diagram and uses the pink wire with a black stripe and the orange wire. Is this what you needed?
