Question about 1998 Hyundai Tiburon
Will a cheap thermostat from advance auto work in my car? I have read there are differences in design... need to save as much on cost as i can since im replacing radiator and possibly head gasket too.. Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to get specific kind of thermostat or just the $13 at advance? and the 170 or 180 degree? thank you in advance!
This is only my opinion....With any vehicle, where important parts counts for the safety of your engine, don't play around. I see a thermostat as a very important part. Buy Hyundai, or if to expensive, go for a good make. The price is still cheap to a engine overhaul. Same counts for your headgasket. Hope it helps!!!

why wont Hyundai fix it
you should get close to 200,000klms from a clutch my car is on its second and its done 352,104klms
Hyundai should warrant there cars they do in Australia
the only reason they wouldn't is if the car has been misused or used in an aggressive meaner
replacing it your self may void your warranty

depands on how mechanical your are . and you will need to send the head to a machine shop for plaining.you need tools and a torque wrench and the specs for tighten the head back down .it can be done with patience and on rare cases you can lift the head to replace the gasket without taking everything apart

You must remove the entire headlight housing assembly. Should be about four nuts on studs depending on what side you may have to reomove the battery. you will a 10 mm wrench or deep socket. the light socket then twist in and out and you splug in the bulb once you get tho that point it is prety simple.

Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.
