I NEED A WIRING DIAGRAM OF THE CHOKE FOR A 1997 FORD LASER TRACER 1300

If this is electronic fuel injection it does not have a choke, but instead uses a coolant temp sensor (common part to fail).

Why does ford use coolant in throttle body on 1998 ranger 2.5l engine?

I think it has something to do with the automatic choke. The Auto choke can sense what temperature the water (coolant) is. As the water gets hotter, the choke opens up more until its reached operating temperature. Once this has occurred, the choke will be off.(The butterfly valve fully open) This type of choke keeps the engine running smoother until its reached its correct operating temperature.

Looking for the starter relay in a 1998 tracer

1998 Mercury Tracer is equipped only with a 2.0L MFI SOHC SPI engine (Multiport Fuel Injection, Single OverHead Cam, Split Port Induction). This vehicle does not use a starter relay. Power from the ignition switch goes through the Clutch Switch (manual transmission) or the Neutral Safety Switch (automatic transmission) then directly to the solenoid at the starter. The solenoid is serviced only as part of the starter assembly. (SEE PICTURE)

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer, 2wd, 4.0L SOHC 6cyl. It won't idle when cold. Once it's warm, it runs fine. Codes coming up is running lean. Could it be my coolant temp sensor?

Check for vacuum leaks. this is the main cause for lean codes. Definitely not the coolant sensor. Let me know there are other things also.

1998 Mercury Tracer spare parts in Europe ???

Ford, being a global company, has numerous parts common to cars built in different countries. Check with a Ford dealer to see if your engine really is a 'Made in USA' or a product of Ford Koeln (Cologne) in Germany.
Many of the Ford engines were originally designed (and some built) in Germany or England.
