SOURCE: ac wiring diagram

You're better off having a mechanic look at it for you. It will save you a lot of aggrivation and time. A/C repairs can be frustrating and escalating to the one's blood pressure!

SOURCE: ac compressor doesn't turn on

Have you tried putting a wire jumper (paper clip works) in the compressor cycling switch in the low side of the system?

1999 VW Passat AC/heat doesn't work? The belt broke this summer? I was told should still blow heat even if no belt?

If you are talking about the belt for the ac compressor, yes the heater should still work.
If the blower is not working, you will need to have the blower motor checked for voltage and ground.

Radiator fans won't come on while van is running

Start the car and turn on the AC to max. Do either of the fans run with the AC compressor engaged? Also, there is a temp sensor for the fan circuit but I don't know exactly where it is located on that vehicle.

Recharged a/c do u have to clear ecm or bcm what is the codes

You do not have to clear either module. If the AC still doesn't work then there is still a problem like an AC compressor clutch or compressor cycling switch in the low pressure refrigerant side line..

2005 altima blowing hot air

could be your switch, or you have a freon leak and there is no freon in the system. open hood and watch the ac pump and have them turn on and off the ac. if in engages then it is probably freon. if it doesn't check ac fuses.

I have numerous proglems. I have a 2000 intrique. The right back signal light blinks very fast, doesn't work in the front. The ac blower works fine but blows warm air.A mechanic , someone my hysband...

Your rear turn signal flashes fast because the front is not working. Most likely you have a burnt out bulb in the front. If your A/C compressor can be turned over by hand and doesn't lock up or make any clanking sounds it's probably alright. The compressor will not run if the system is low on refrigerant. If you're having problems with the A/C and heater controls, that would be the first ting to repair. It doesn't sound at all like any electrical problems.

Dear Friends, I have 2003 Lancer GLXI , I have a problem mention below When Engine and AC are started there is a vibrating noise of the bonnet. One local mechanic said its ECM problem. Car does not...

ECM - electronic control module? Maybe, but there are other issues to be checked first.

You AC is clearly not functioning.

The vibration when the AC is on may be the AC belt idler pulley, or perhaps the compressor clutch.
This is easily checked. The belt can be loosened, and the idler pulley checked for free rotation. At the same time, (engine off) the compressor pulley should be easily rotated. The compressor clutch is controlled by the thick single wire that runs to the compressor. Locate the connector to the main wiring loom and disconnect it.

Run a wire from the battery to the clutch wire. You should hear a load click as the compressor clutch engages. You should be able to rotate the compressor pulley, but there will be a significant load resistance. If the compressor seems jammed, then I'd suspect it has a serious problem.

There's a High pressure A/C valve some where near the front of the car. The cap is probably light blue. Press the valve inside momentarily. If you hear a loud psssttt, the AC pressure is probably OK. If you get a soft sssss sound, you've lost pressure. The usual reason is age or pin holes in the condensor in front of the radiator.

Can i bypass my ac compresser with a differant belt. The compresser is not working and my freeze up.

It's possible, sometimes. Unfortunately in most cases it's going to be hit and miss on the models you can because if you drop the AC unit out you have to remove it completely or it blocks the belt path and that will lead to debris getting in the AC lines requiring a total replacement of the AC system if you ever repair it. The compressor is costly and I understand why you may be putting it off but the AC clutch assembly is probably only about $50 and can be replaced with the unit mounted if your careful and can get enough room to work on it. I wouldn't recommend doing it but if you really want to try when you get the replacement belt tell the Auto Parts guy that gets the belt for you the vehicle doesn't have AC and that should get you a belt of the proper length if it exist. Some models of that vehicle where only sold with AC so there would be no option if that were the case.
