Have you tried replacing the thermostat? If you are sure that it is the thermostat even if you have recently replaced it, I have seen defective thermostats when the lower level (cheapest) thermostat is used. Always replace your thermostat with a higher quality thermostat. It is well worth the extra few dollars not to have to do it again. Also you should flush (with cooling system flush) and fill your cooling system with the proper mixture of coolant to make sure there are no contaminants that could clog the thermostat and lead to a premature failure.

My honda is running great but the temp gage will go all the way up to H and then back down to were it should be. What do you think could be wrong?

It's time to change the $18 thermostat and do a coolant flush.

Change the upper and lower radiator hoses if they are over 5 years old.

Where is the thermostat located on a 95 honda civic ex 1.6l engine?

Hi
Your thermostat is located under a metal housing on the engine, which is where one of the radiator hoses attach to the engine. The housing is held in place with 2 bolts.

I have a 95 honda civic manual, every time i hit the gas it takes more time than usual to shift into drive

your clutch might be going out, or your flywheel. Its hard to know either way. You may want to look at your stick shift to make sure that it is secured and not coming loose. a cheap solution for hondas is buying a short throw shifter. if that doesnt help you may want to look into a new clutch , they come with a new flywheel and are pretty easy to install. take you a full day. call auto zone and ask them about your problem for clarification.
