it definately needs to be resolved...it may be as simple as a vacuum leak or a bad oxygen sensor. To pinpoint it you may have to scan the computer for the trouble code if you cant find something obvious like a vac. leak. Contact the seller of the vehicle and ask, they may help to fix it or give you an idea of what it may be.

they don't use gaskets on oil sumps its sealant glue and yes u will have to reapply it when you put the sump back on, and what do u mean by main seal? do you mean the head gasket?

go to any part store and tell them what happend they will sell you a kit that can fix this or you can try to re tap the hole and get a new oil pan plug
