Question about 2002 Buick LeSabre
New battery and alternator, still spits sputters and will die. it always restarts and when it runs it runs good, but will randomly w/w.o. a.c. running spits, sputters and will act like it is getting no gas and the voltage jumps from 12 up to 15...usually 14.7 when running smoothly. HELP!! It doesn't always do it, some parts of somedays it runs perfectly, other parts of some days it won't run for 5 feet
Check you have good earthing points, also check the earthing strap from engine to shell. main earthing point follow the negative lead it will go to the shell.

It sounds like there is a short or something...something is drawing power constintly and draining the battery. Something like this is usually hard to diagnose and requires a lot of electrical testing to determin where the power draw would be coming from in order to fix the problem. I would say u may need to have somone test your electrical connections and whatnot to find the source of the problem. Hope this helps any, good luck!

Try replacing the fuel filter. If that's not it you might take your coil pack and get it tested at a parts store like Advanced Auto. Hope this helps.

Plugged fuel filter. There are two - one in the tank and one in the fuel line. Probably the one in the fuel line so change that one first.
