Antenna broken off inside base

There should be a ring with a couple of notches in it at the base of where the antenna use to be. This ring is essentially a nut and is threaded and can be easily removed giving you better access to the broken antenna. I'm assuming that you are referring to a power antenna also.

Replacing an antenna on a 2001 ford focus wagon-is it hard?

Replacing antennas on most cars is not hard, unless you have an automatically erecting antenna.

Simply unscrew the base of the antenna where it meets the body. Sometimes there is a little key, or tool specific to remove the antenna.

Replace in reverse order. :)

How do you put the ariel down on a 2004 Ford Mustang

The antenna on this vechicle is a fixed mount and does not retract. You can remove the antenna by unscrewing it at it's base. They make aftermarket antennas that are shorter, but you give up reception.

Replaceing a broken antenna mast on a 2005 Ford focus

I am pretty sure if you remove the inside dome light cover and take out the light there is a bolt and nut under there for the base that you can unscrew. By the way where did you buy the parts from, Ford is telling me $70 for the antenna whip?

2003 Ford Focus radio antenna broken off.

Should be a dome light in the interior that lines up with antennae on roof if it's same as I remember. Remove interior light and there should be screws in there holding base of antennae to roof. If it's just a broke off mast, try to unscrew stud from base & replace.

Power antenna quit operating

Most power antennas are an easy thing to remove you just need to be able to get to the bottom to undo the nut holding it and then slip it out through the top. It is getting to the underside of the antenna that can be hard because in most newer cars you have to remove most of the underside moulds in order to get to them.

The cover just pops off. I like using a door panel tool and get under the lip of the cover and pop it off.
