The color code should be inside of the vehicle. It might just be hiding from you because every vehicle seems to be different.

You have to check for codes every time you get

Get the code, look up why it set & how to diagnose

My 2005 Mazda MPV is skipping. It has been tested and found that cylinder 3 is causing the problem. Can cylinder 3 be changed with out changing the others?

If you have individual ignition coils (COP Ignition)
you can change any coil that you want & you don't
need a repair shop

Buy them from Rock Auto.Com
cheaper than auto parts store & you
get to choose your brand & price

If the PO300 codes are wrong just put back the
#3 coil & walk the new one until you find the bad one

Codes don't tell you what is wrong
That said PO 300 cylinder codes are
okey sometimes,other times you need
professional software to look at cylinder
misfire counts & then sometimes just walk
the new one.

The car has to be driven for a coil to break down
It has to get hot & go 29 miles if bad & sometimes
only act up once every 2 weeks with no rhime or reason

Click on the link.
I can only help by telling you to check voltage and ground circuits. You check voltage by using a test lite, see the fuse in diagram, not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage.
To check ground, you can still use the test lite, one end comes from voltage, the other end you touch to ground wire, the actual wire not the insulation, if the lite comes on, at least you know the ground is good enough to turn on the lite.
You can see voltage wire color coming from fuse. The ground wire not in the picture, black with yellow tracer.
on the hinge side of driver door is usually a wiring harness going into the driver door, probably has a protective covering, move cover back far enough to find the wire colors you want to check.
You open/shut driver door so much, sometimes those wires may break?

It is definatly a timeing problem but 1st check you pluged all wireing back in especially cam sensor & VVT solinoid if fitted. You may just need to reset the code & see if prob remains. I had a honda engine light come on after haveing VVT solinoid out & just had to reset comp & it was fine. If all looks good there you will need to recheck the cam timeing you could be a tooth out. Look at this link.

'Service Traction' indicator comes on, car stalls, won't restart. What's happening here?

Someone will need to scan the body computer for trouble codes to proceed. A simple code reader may not access the body computer.

Code P0342 - Chevy Aveo Sedan 2006. Last 2 months, when starts the car engine getting

Hello! The trouble code is telling us that the voltage to the Camshaft Positioning Sensor (CMP) is low...The connector that plugs into the sensor could be open, the sensor itself defective or low battery input to the sensor...See diagrams below as to sensor location...Lets eliminate...The wire colors in the CMP plug are...Pink...Black/White...And Light Blue/Black...If you connect a voltmeter to the Pink wire you must read 5 volts...Push a safety pin into the rear of the in-place connector into the Pink wire so it contacts the pin that the wire is crimped to...(+) probe of meter clipped to that pin and (-) probe to bare metal chassis ground...Key on...Meter set to read 5 volts...If 5 volts is present that eliminates a battery fault...Next push the safety pin into the Light Blue/Black wire...Turn on key...(+) probe to that pin...Should read about 2.4 volts...If you read nothing, or less than 1 volt the sensor is defective OR the connector pins to it are fouled...Pull plug and inspect both male/female pins for oil...corrosion...etc...Radio Shack sells a product called DeOxit...It's the best (no touch) spray contact cleaner...Send results...PS...Best meter to use is a digital one...$20...Guru...saailer

CMP at top of drawing with timing chain cover removed for clarity...

I own a 2005 Aveo and after 5yrs and 66,000 miles some are telling me my engine may be shot. It's got a bluish colored smoke coming from the tail pipe. I called around looking for a motor and the...

Bluish colored smoke is oil in the combustion chamber. I would recommend having a reputable garage/mechanic run a Compression Test and Leak Down Test on the engine to determine the condition of the Rings & Valves. If it tests out ok, it may be something as simple as Valve Seals needing replaced.
If the Compression/Leak Down tests don't look good, it may need rebuilt (just replacing rings alone would be a band-aid fix) or a valve job.

I have an 02 Mercury Sable-car had problems starting so I got a new alternator, new starter and new battery. Started out fine, then car started shaking when put in reverse or drive, check engine light came...

Why would you drive a week with the check light on &
all those problems?

Why would you drive the car at all, without taking it back to
where the work was done

We have had On-Board-Diagnostics on all vehicles for 31 years,
that's why the check light is on

Surely you have heard of checking for codes when you get
a check light on your dash

Until you do that, you got nowhere to start

You do realize the Alternator has nothing to do with starting
a car,& wouldn't every fail at the same time as the starter
