You must reset the ignition timint to manufacturer specification. However will be a Great idea, that your RUN the scanner/computer for easy diagnostic. The electronic vehicle right now is very complicated. You must have something wrong: Ignition Coil or PCM faulty+spark wires+sparkplug+BCM+sensor, etc faulty. see the diagram attached.
God bless you

SOURCE: it loses power on acceleration and serious loss of power on hills

sounds like a clogged fuel filter. you need to have the engine pressure checked for leaks, you can rent the pressure checker at autozone, it connects to ur radiator and u pump pressure into the cooling system if u find water leaking around the head u know u have a blown head gasket. if ok then check the cylinder compression should beable to rent this also. it screws into the spark plug holes has a gauge on it. alternator problem w/ the light is probaly you need to tighten the belt.hope this helps!!!

Take it to a local Auto Zone for them to read the codes. It is probably a engine misfire and needs a tune up, spark plugs and wires.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.0 V6. Recently the car has started "missing" or 'jerking" after it has been driven a while and has warmed up. The problme only occurs when putting stress...

is your car manual transmission? if so, have your clutch master checked, that might be the problem. if it's an automatic transmission try checking your ATF level it's a must to maintain proper oil levels. also oil change when it reaches 6months or so for best performance. the last thing you'll check is your fuel, is it below or in the "Empty" part of your fuel gauge? hope this helps.
