From your discription I think you have a cylinder fireing on an open valve. Meaning the valve is not closing completely as it should before detonation. Then cause could be anything from a burnt valve to carbon build up.

That means it is back firing. Check your timing belt. You can take the front protection cover off and you should be able to see it. Your vehicle may be out of time and that would cause a backfire. Your rotor may not be turning. If you have a question, let me know and I will help you as much as I can.
