My 2004 Silverado starts for a second then stops running. Checked fuses under hood. All are good. What other causes might there be?


The anti-theft system can cause this problem, do you have a security light on or flashing ? or any other lights lit on the dash ,check engine light ,a yellow wrench symbol , service vehicle soon ? Turn the key on to the run position an wait 6-7 seconds all lights should go out, do they ?

No communication from computer to 4wheel drive changed push button on dash still no lights on


Some vehicles have a module for the 4x4 under the passenger side dash. Most likely it is the motor on the transfer case that is bad. Year, make, and model?

flashing is a severe condition, most cases it is from random multiple misfires, i would get it checked soon.

Engine light and a small wrench are lit up


Service engine soon light. Go to Advance Auto and they will pull the code free, then list here and someone will help you with that.
