Question about Cars & Trucks
I have had clutch plate failure twice @ 100,000 and 120,000. Where motor cut out and coasted to a stop. Now at 126,000km Clutch pedal falls to floor. Start motor, all OK. Now start engine, lift pedal a fraction (2-3mm) - car jolts forward - I Brake, engine stalls. I cannot drive it. Please advise what is wrong? I have had this in other older cars when there is a shortage of Brake Fluid, But Hand Book does not explain. Also no warning light on Dashboard. TOM KIRKLAND, Johannesburg, Gauteng, RSA.

It might be a broken finger on the pressure plate for the clutch and that is allowing the pedal to stay on the floor and not return to the top.
