usually codes for the braking system will be under body or chassis. most of the time over the counter scanners will not have access to these modules. your problem could be anywhere from the abs module to one of the wheel speed sensors going bad. you can test the wheel speed sensors to see if they are working correctly by jacking the vehicle up and checking one wheel at a time. wheel speed sensors give out an a/c voltage when the reluctor ring on the axles passes by the sensor.

before you run the tests it would be a good idea to make sure the wheel speed sensors are clear of any debris where the sensor picks up the signal from the reluctor wheel.

using a digital multimeter set it to read a/c voltage on a 2v scale or lower is possible millivolt scale will usually work

disconnect the connector at the wheel speed sensor and touch the DMM to the terminals on the sensor itself ans spin the wheel, see if the DMM reads the voltage change as you spin the wheel. repeat these steps for each sensor. *the voltage should steadily rise and fall as the wheel speeds up and slows down respectively. if the voltage is all over the place its usually a good sign that the sensor is bad.

if all sensors seem to be working properly you can trace the wiring from each sensor to see if there is a short or break in the wiring.

without the proper scan tools testing the module is near impossible unless you can find the schematics for the module and start testing inputs and outputs.

hope this helps!

2002 Chrysler Voyager Lost Dash Lighting

there is another fuse panel inside.
I can't remember where it is, but you should check inside/behind the glove box.... or..... driver side under the dash.... or on either side of the dash where the door would hide it when closed.

I know the dodge/chrysler dash light fuse also powers the license plate light, so turn your lights on and see if you have a license plate light or not.
Hope you can locate the other box.

Hi, my ABS modulator was faulty so when i pressed brakes the car span out of control, when it came to a standstill there was red fluid on the floor and the car now wouldnt go into gear. what should i do?

There is a recall on this problem..recall # 6585..I would suggest that you contact your local Chrysler dealership and have the repairs done before you have a bad wreck.
You can view the recall at the following web site.

Chrysler grand voyager 3.3 2000 TC and ABS ligts are on but what is the issue? How to fix it?

the likely problem is there is a problem with the ABS system. Since the traction control uses the ABS to function if there is a problem with the ABS it will fisable the traction control.

Have the ABS module scanned for codes. There are hundreds of possibilities and you can break the bank blindly trying one thing after another. The trouble code(s) will point you in the proper direction. Either a particular wheel or a particular part. Once you know you can concentrate on that wheel or part of the ABS system.

The most common problem is wheel speed sensors and broken exciter rings.

My van is a chrysler voyager 2000 and its parking break light on the console has been lit on and off.

If it is just the red light that is on , and not red and yellow ABS , it is most likely the emergency brake pedal switch located on the top of the pedal , make sure the pedal fully retracts when released ,
Another possible cause could be low fluid in the master cylinder caused by worn brakes !
check your fluid first if its low check all your brakes .

2002 chrysler voyager abs light came on the dashboard but brakes work

Even when the ABS is nonfunctional you still will have brakeing capabilities. You just dont have antiskid control when the light is on.

The only way to know whats wrong is to get the code read. It will point to either a wheel sensor issue or a ABS module( computer ) issue.

It will have to be diagnosed to determine the exact cause.
