I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring with the 6 cylinder engine (2.7L). Lately, the engine will quit while stopped and while driving at highway speeds when the heater is on, even after replacing the coolant...

Hello Tonia Larson,

Welcome to fixya

(body control module) would be my first GUESS...
(( Guessing: don't do this without good reason )).

My very BEST advice... get your codes read...
Find out what your car is complaining about
and systematically eliminate the issues...

Folks (like AUTOZONE (In my opinion)) will
attempt to sell you totally UNNECESSARY
OXYGEN SENSORS... Try to remember to
avoid WASTING money on OXYGEN Sensors:
They merely report the news... The NEW ones
will complain about fuel/exhaust issues equally
well (as the OLD ones did).

- Make about as much sense as buying a new
thermometer because you have a cold & fever.

Totally FREE wiring diagrams & TSBs
(Technical Service Bulletins) are available on
the BBB Industries... (registration is required
(these are typically real FACTORY documents))...

BBB Industries Premium Alternators Starters Power Steering Products

Many mechanics & store clerks READ codes for FREE...
Bring you codes back here... There are serious
VOLUNTEERS... knowledgeable enough to help you
resolves these troubles... without wasting a lot of
MONEY or time...

Hope this helps...

Hope this helps

Ford fusion eac failure.

Sorry you feel that way about ford dealer's . I work at one ,have for 15 years . And they don't just want your money , where do you people come up with this junk ? Your wasting your own money buying parts you don't need ! Buy parts other then ford OEM parts is not to bright either . Having the correct diagnostic tool's an factroy training makes us your best choice . And it's not EAC ,it's ETC - electronic throttle control . And there isn't a 2004 fusion . Did come out till 2006

Looking for an OBD II scan tool to buy.

I have an Actron, OBDII. which has different cables for different vehicle manufacturers. The more expensive models will read codes for US, European, and Asian built vehicles. Check the scanner description, because although they may be able to read codes from all of these makes, they may require the purchase of additional cables to be able to plug into different ports. Some of the pricey units come with more cables. They will work on 96 and newer cars.
