This could be many problems. A ground wire may have come off or your negative battery cable is loose. Check your relays and fuses as well. Have an autoparts store run a diagnostic.

I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.

SOURCE: car wont start

I noticed you replace the crankshaft sensor, but not the CAMshaft sensor.
The Ignition module takes the input of both sensors to tell the coil when to energize.
This sensor should come up as an error code when you attach a obd reader.
Even if your light is not on - there may be a code. If it is not your vehicle originally, some people pull the bulb!

SOURCE: 1997 ES 300 How to reset anti-theft system when car won't start

With the doors shut, insert the key into the drivers door lock. Lock and unlock the door 5 times. This should reset the system. If that doesn't work you should contact a qualified repair shop.

Just rebuilt motor in 1998 chevy suburban and have no spark from coil... replaced coil pack, coil module, distributor, and crank shaft sensor... what could it be?

Did you check primary voltage at the coil? Pink wire goes hot with the key on. Use a test lite. That circuit is fuse protected.

I'm a jack of all trades and master of none.

2004 buick rendezvous loses power after jump starting, while engine idlies battery power dies. Unable to restart again unless I jump start. Also, battery light comes on. Battery was replaced 5/28/13.

Sounds like the alternator. A jump can start you but if the alternator is bad your battery will not charge and just die after you use the power you got from the jump.

The battery and alternator is good i have to get it jump off will not start what else can i check could it be my coil packs

Does the engine spin if you do not jump it? If this is the case it sounds as if you may have a bad starter and the extra power from the other battery helps it start. If it were a coild pack, the engine would spin but you would have no or little spark to the park plugs and a jump start would make no difference and besides if the coil pack was bad the car would either run very poorly or not even start at all. Not quite sure as to your problem by the way you worded it so am trying to do my best to help. If the engine is turning over without a jump but not starting you first want to check to make sure you are or are not getting fuel and/or spark to the spark plugs & then narrow it down from there. One other thing, if it will not spin without a jump then try before you connect the jumper cables to your vehicle to have somebody turn the key to try and start the car while you or somebody taps on the starter. If it starts then it looks like you may have a bad starter. I hope this helps and good luck.

My 1998 buick lesabre wont crank and it makes a clicking noise when I try to start it

if it clicks more than likely a jump start will get it going and unless the headlights or other power is left on you might need a battery or alternator also the car is new enogh it will need a direct 12 volt power source for the pcm so if you un-hook the jumper cables and it dies it definetly needs a battery hope this helps

I have no power to my car it wont start. we tryed to jump it but wont start. dose any one know anything about 1998 ford contour

What motor is in it?? If its a 2.5 l then it may be the main fuse located beside the battery, otherwise there is a maxi fuse located under the coil pack. You would have to remove the coil pack to check it. Its about 3 inches long with terminals on each end, below where the coil pack is about 6-8 inches down. TEST IT WITH A MULTIMETER SET TO RESISTANCE OR CONTINUITY.

Buick Lesabre 1998, How you check the coil packs?

you can take them off and have them tested or you can pull the plugs and there should be two plugs that will be really black follow those wires back to the coil that is bad. or you could also have someone crank it while you stick a screwdriver in the end of the wire on the plug and hold the screwdriver next to the engine or a good ground and there should be a bright blue spark but be careful and dont touch the car or it might tickle a little bit
