Do you know if they also replaced the sending unit in the tank ?
It could also be a problem with the gauge on the dash.

try cleaning the connector that goes to the fuel pump, sometimes they corrode on inside. If that does not fix, test the wires feeding fuel pump with a multi meter until the condition shows itself again, if voltage drops to zero or very low then wiring problem, if voltage is unchanged with problem and fuel pump is not working and connectors are all clean, try replacement of fuel pump.

2003 HUMMER H2 FUEL GAGE READS EMPTY ONLY

You replaced the fuel gauge stepper motor two times ? Did you do it correctly ?

Fuel Gage
The IPC displays the fuel level as determined by the PCM. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent. The fuel gage defaults to empty if:
• The PCM detects a malfunction in the fuel level sensor circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM.
When the fuel level is less than a pre-determined value, the low fuel indicator illuminates.
Reviewing the fuel system description will further explain how the system functions. Refer to Fuel System Description .

Did you try replacing the fuel level sensor ? Check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes ?

'05 ford escape - car won't start if fuel below 1/4 tank

Not sure about P0195, but P093 is for a problem with the fuel rail pressure sensor. The sensor could be faulty or it could be accurate when the fuel system is empty.
Your sending unit for the fuel gauge could be off. Can you check the amount of fuel it takes to fill the tank when the gauge reads half ? If the gauge is right it should take half of the capacity of the tank to fill it up.

My 2008 chevy malibu fuel gauge dose not read only some times when its a full tank the gauge is dead but about 1/4 tank it reads but gos in and out ?

this is caused by a defective gas gage sending unit, the sending unit is part of the fuel pump module inside the gas tank, the gas tank must be removed to replace the fuel pump module that also contains the sending unit.

Fuel guage not working

Testing the fuel gage requires accessing the harness from the fuel pump and grounding the yellow / white wire with 160 ohms resistance this should cause the gage to read full, and with the circuit open you should have the gage reading empty. If the gage works in this order then the likely failure is the sending unit in the tank , and will require replacement.

Gas gage read full when empty and sometimes emty

You have a bad fuel level sensor. The fuel tank needs to come out and the sensor replaced. You don`t have to replace the pump assembly. You can get the level sensor separate.I`m not sure if the parts stores have it but I know the dealerships do.Hope this helps.Good luck.

2008 x5 v8 my gas gage and on board computer wrong readings

Faulty Fuel Pump, and run an injection cleaner into your gas tank (you can buy a bottle at your local parts shop) then get the fuel filters checked or replaced.

Chances are contaminated gas clogged your fuel works.

For a quick fix: Open the gas cap at 1/4 tank to relieve the vacuum. it will make your pump work less.

I have a peugeot 406, V.reg 1999 model. all the dials are fluctuating up and down and the fuel gage reads empty even when full?? Any idea's??

I don't know this car, but it could be that an intermittent short in the fuel gage doesn't give enough time for the fuel needle to move, but does effect all the other dials intermittently. Or maybe the instrument panel has a ground wire that is intermittent. Good luck.
