I had the same problem with my 2002 CR-V after replacing the alternator. If you open the glove compartment there is a sticker (at least it was on mine) on the left side of the glove compartment door. The top number is the code. The bottom number is the serial number of the stereo.

Take it to the Honda dealer and they will be able to get your code and unlock the stereo. Most likely for free or a small fee.

Code 1 came on in my stereo and it won't play no more Honda civic 2001

look in your owner's manual for a reset code. It is a 4 digit code. if you dont have it, just go to a Honda dealer and they should be able to provide one to you

The stereo display shows "COdE"

This problem generally occurs when the battery has been disconnected. What you will have to do is go into your owner's manual and call Honda USA for the program code. What you will need at the time of the call is vehicle's registration. The information you seek is in the owner's manual and don't forget to write the code down, just in case.

Just put new battery in my 2001 Saturn and now I can't get my stereo to play. Please help

If it is a factory stereo, you have to call a Saturn dealer and they will give you a code to unlock.I don't know if the automatically tell you how to do it so you may have to ask.Write it down too because it will happen every time the battery gets disconnected and sometimes it needs to be even though they aren't working on your battery.Good luck! My car stereo system on my 1999 Honda accord has a backwards 3 on it and will not play or even turn on.

I bought a used 1999 Honda Accord and found the radio code on stickers on the underside of the coin tray (near A/C vent by drivers door) and also under the lid of the fuse box under the hood.

How do i reset a stereo in a 1999 range rover

in most cars if your remove the battery for 15 minutes the car will reset, stereo aswell, before you do this i suggest checking if you have the stereo pin code as most cars have a pin code and when you reset it you will need the code, if you dont have it check your owners manual, if you do not have that bring details to your closest dealer, chassis number etc they will have it on their system.

My daughters 97 saturn was worked on and now the stereo says LOC and wont play anything got any suggestions?

Hi, my name is Ben. When LOC is displayed on the radio it indicates that power has been shut off to the radio. Probably disconnected the battery during servicing the vehicle. Once this happens, there is a code which must be entered using the buttons on the radio to make the radio able to work again. If you don't know the code, you will need to take the vehicle to a dealership service department and have them unlock the radio. Sorry, I can't help you more, but hopefully you have the information you need now. If you can find the code, sometimes it's written in the owner's manual, I can give you the procedure for entering it into the radio.

I drained my audi a4 2000 2.8 v6 5spd battery by leaving the radio on too long. i jumped it wit a battery kit charger. not another car. my car starts and runs fine but the stereo says, "safe". it wont let...

Call an Audi Dealer and give them the VIN of the vehicle. They should be able to give you the code to reset the radio. It's a anti-theft thing.

My battery for my 2004 acura 1.7el died, as did my radio do you know the code?

hi, this a very common problem that everyone gets when they have either had work done on the car witch involved removing the battery or if the battery has gone realy flat.
The problem is the only place you can get the code from is the main dealers this is due to the fact that its a security feature to stop thieves stealing your stereo and selling it on so to get the code you need to take the car and the owners paper work and also some id to your nearest main dealers they will then give you the code you need and they wont charge for giving you this.

Im sorry their is no easy fix to this but its just to ensure thieves dont nick your stereo and then sell it on with the code so to combat this you can only get the code from the main dealers with the correct documents.

2000 Audi A4 stereo system

Yes. I know of two units out there: Denison's IceLink, and the Phatnoise box (or Phatbox, as some call it). I believe both install the same way. You figure out where you want the iPod connector (say, glovebox). Pull the stereo out of the dash, disconnect the CD changer (you'll lose the changer function with these but who cares?), and plug the adapter cable into the changer's port. It'll allow the iPod to play through the factory stereo, and will allow you to control the iPod with the buttons on the factory stereo.
