2000 chevy malibu blinker going crazy

Sometimes they work and sometimes they do not, like a bad connection.
ive checked the fuse, bought a new relay, check the switch itself but no marks of burns or damage, read on an old blog that it could be the actual hazard switch so i pulled the trim panel found that it was cracked (the panel) fixed with fiber glass and epoxy now the hazard switch fits snug. seems that when they quit working a few pushes of the hazard switch and it starts to work again (too easy seems to be the switch) sometimes it will be good all day almost like a bad connection but when it rains it seems to quit working almost entirely... so it raises dought that it may be the hazard switch please help im running out of trouble shooting ideas...

My problem is similar, the soliniod starts clicking randomly once or twice or rapid fire. It seams to come on by subtle bumps and turns. To get is to stop for a moment I can press the hazzard lights part way down. Have not taken the part out yet or replaced anything.

I got a 2000 cavalier 2.2 and my headlights stopped working i still have running lights taillights and breaklights .havent had blinkers for awhile .checked fuses all good bought a multiarm and that did...

Relay switches are sometimes located in the fuse panel box or under the hood of the vehicle, look for a 12 to 14 inch long black box, you will have to take the top off and the relays and fuses should be there. Make sure the wiring connections to the lights and other components having problems with have good tight connections. Hope this Helps.

Fuse box

What kind of car? I have a 2005 Chevy malibu that the light quit blinking, in my case it was the connectors in the bulb socket. Somehow when you remove the old bulb it pushes them back so they no longer connect and the blinker stops working. If this is the case you just need to bend them back but be careful not to break or you can by new outlet assembly for $20. Also the blinkers didn't have a fuse just a relay switch if this goes out you would have problem with multiple lights

'05 Chevrolet Malibu - Front Right Blinker is not Working

You need to check for power coming out of the turn signal switch with a test light, or voltmeter. On older Chevys, the R/F turn signal wire is dark blue. Check the color of your wire at the bulb socket, then locate the turn signal switch connector, and probe that color wire with the ignition switch on, and turn signal switch in the right position. If you have power coming out of the T/S switch, you have bad connection, or open circuit between it and the bulb socket.

2000 dodge durango blinkers wont work

try checking the Relay in the fuse box under the hood, and there is also one up under the dash, if you dont hear the relay click with you put power to it then pop it out then try a new one. a lot of times it could be the relay but you still get power to the fuse. cause the relay clicks closed and locks that way. if not that check for power at the blinker, take the bulb out turn the blinker on and see if there is a voltage change there if not then it could be a bad ground or line under the hood.
