that is your a.s.r. light. It stands for acceleration slip regulation-the a.s.r. and other modules monitor your throttle position and will deactivate your control of the throttle when any wheel slip is noticed. You can manually shut off system by pressing the a.s.r. button and the yellow triangle will stay illuminated. When the a.s.r. is controlling your throttle the light will flash-this is normal. The earlier versions may just have a button that has a picture os snow chains around a tire un stead of saying a.s.r. on it I hope I have been helpful. If your a.s.r. light is remaining solid this means there is a problem with the system and you should have the car scanned for codes-this light sill actually say a.s.r. it is not the yellow triangle.

It could be a number of reasons, but start with the simple ones first. Maybe the thermostat ? , remove it from its housing and place it in a pan of cold water on the stove. Turn on the heat on a low light and see if it opens as the water gets hot. If no movement as it reaches boiling point it needs to be replaced.
