- It is a PassTime Elite Collateral Protection system the dealer put on the vehicle.. when I paid it off they didn't remove it and now I am stuck in a different state with the truck disabled and not staring. I was told I need to remove the ground wire and the truck will start but I am not familiar with the system and do not know where the ground wire is.
Find the passtime device , it's usually under the dash near the ignition switch. You can trace it by following the wire from the remote eye. There are 5 wires with a plug connector plugged into the device. Leave the red, pink and black wires alone. The blue wire comes from your ignition switch and goes to a relay switch inside the device. The purple wire comes from that switch to your starter. Leave them cut from the device, but solder, (or connect in some manner) them together so that the passtime device is bypassed. Then your starter will get power when you turn the key. That's all there is to it. the passtime device will still appear to be functioning. It will beep and take codes from the remote, but regardless of whether it is timed out or not your starter will still get power.
**IMPORTANT NOTICE**
It should be noted that the passtime system is property of the dealership and removal of this device may violate your contract with the dealership and in some states is a punishable offense.
the passtime device is under the dash and spliced into your ignition wire. unhooking the ground wont work because the circuit is still incomplete. you have to find your ignition wire and splice it back together to bypass the passtime. if your not sure which one your ignition wire is use a multimeter and when you hit the starter it should read between 10 and 12 volts

I would like to know if you can give me a guide to fit a new clutch cable to my Feista SI. I have never done this before but has been told it is easy to change. My car is not on your drop down list so I had to select the nearest in order to continue. It is a Fiesta SI 1.6

When first starting my 2003 Mazda MPV I have to push hard against the accelerator peddle to get the van going. After that, the accelerator peddle works fine. What the deal?

heater does not work. Have replaced the valve. the valve on the car has a green dot on it while the replacement has a yellow one. What does the colour signify? Also, when replacing the pipes I forgot to note which pipe went on which connection. I've replaced them by connecting the pipe coming from the left of the engine to the left connection. Am I right?
