Front end noise on 97 Chrysler Cirrus

I thought the problem was old brake pads, (I had ball joint replaced a year ago) I replaced pads but still hearing noise, it gets faster as I accelerate and loudest when turning left. When turning left sounds like metal grinding.

Check the wheel bearing, if you haven't already done so, mainly on the passenger side, but check both, to be sure.

What would be causing a noise in the front end that sounds like someone hitting can when braking & going over bumps?

Sounds like the wheel is touching something when the nose goes down a bit. I had a similar problem and found it was the stone guard under the front fender

I'm driving a 2000 Chrysler 300M. Had front brake pads & rotors changed 2 weeks ago. Front end has been noisy since & I suspect sticking calipers , as i was informed they did not get clean

The front calipers are not the problem...did a shop replace the pads and rotors? Or did a friend replace these parts. The Chrysler front pads and rotors are an excellent design...easy to service and replace parts...only 2 bolts hold on each caliper, and the rotor is held in place with the caliper, and wheel. My first thought was a front wheel bearing is grinding, but you should have noticed this before the brake parts change. The pads could be installed backwards also...my second thought was you may have a loose wheel or two...retighten all 5 lug nuts by using the "star" tightening method, you may be surprised that the loose lug nuts are the only problem. Hope this helps.

I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE PART IS THAT THE FRONT HUB IS BOLTED TO ON A 2000 CHRYSLER CIRRUS

The hub sits in the center of the bearing. the hub bearing assembly is bolted to the knuckle. The caliper, lower ball joint, outer tie rod end, and the strut are also attached to the knuckle.

Is that the info you needed?

I have a grinding noise coming from my front left tire! Sounds like the front end is gonna fall out from under the truck. Could that be ball joints, tie rod ends? When it makes this noise it feels like the...

Sounds like the noise is a bad bearing to me. If the ball joints or tie rod ends were bad, you would have irregular steering or in an extreme case, the front end would fall apart and you would lose steering abilities.

Shaking while braking

If you put new rotors on and used the old pads that could be your problem. You never put new rotors on, with out new pads even when the old pads look new. Also just because the rotors are new does not mean thery are not warped. I have done a lot of break jobs where i have had to take the rotors back off and had them turned because they were warped right out of the box.

Move it to 3rd instead of drive and see if you still have the noise. May be transmission related since you have replaced everything else.

well could be a dried out lower ball joint or just the upper strutsare dried out and need some oil sprayed on them to soften up the rubbers .but I would say it is more likely to be the lower ball joint needs replacing

Steering creeks when turning left or right. front wheel noise.

My advise is when u get a humming noise when banking left or right. Its beter to change both left and right wheel bearing and ball joints. Cause if u think about it those parts are put on at the same time . So if u think about it they have the same where in Terre . left or right hope this helps you.
