are you pushing down on the first click? I have an 06 325i and just like the cruz and turn signal switches there are two detent positions, I read your problem went and tried mine and the first thing I thought was mine didn't work either, I noticed the detents and realized that going up 1 detent gave me low speed and two up gave me fast, down only gives intermittent, I found this out by going all the way up to fast and then down one to slow, is yours the same way??
