OIL LIGHT I have a 2001 Sable. The car runs fine ( no indicators) but when I finish driving and put the car in park, the oil light flashes in bursts. I check the oil level and it is fine.

Have someone check the actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge immediately. You may have an internal problem. This will also verify if you just need a new pressure sending unit.
good luck! hope this helps you.

No oil pressure, camshaft position sensor error,

Yes, the sensor is in small housing the goes in the hole where the distributor used to go. That also drives the oil pump so don't drive it you'll ruin the engine. It's located down under the throttle body, near transmission end of the engine.

Oil pressure light is blinking.

It's very possible a coincidence and that the flashing oil light is the oil pressure switch. I'd check it out immediately to make sure there's sufficient oil flowing through the engine. Merely jump starting the car shouldn't have knocked anything loose so to be on the safe side, assume there's an oil pressure issue. You were right to not use the car in the interim.

1997 mercury sable dies when put in gear

Your transmission torque converter lock up clutch is not unlocking, that kills the engine and is the cause of the OD light flashing.

Oil light flashing & beeping

This usually indicates that the oil pressure is low, but you need to get it checked out whether it's just a pressure sensor fault or connection issue, or it actually has got low oil pressure. The last one is the most concerning, because it could be causing internal damage if there is not enough oil pressure. Hopefully with a relatively late model car it will just be a sensor issue, but I would get it checked out ASAP, and preferably not use the car in the meantime.
Hope this helps, Mark.
