Problem for Chevrolet 1986 K1500
454 on chevy won't idle
We have a 1990 chevy 454, that the fuel filer stopped up, we put a new one one, then the truck would not idle, so we replaced all the plugs and wires, and it still won't idle really need help

- yes we checked the timing it was fine, also replaced a senosr i think it was called the throttle position sensor?Best Solution

Did you check your timing? You may have the timing to advanced to compensate for the clogged filter, change your timing and then see if it will idle.

- Have you checked all you cables funning to the throttle body?(this type of question is hard over the internet lol) I would suggest you check out thirdgen.org (i am not affiliated with them in any way) they have lost of usefull forums, and have helped me with my camaro a few time.Yes
